ABOUT NELSON GRANITE
The Nelson family has a long tradition in granite, dating back to 1909 in New Brunswick. Today, Nelson Granite is owned/
managed by the 4th and 5th generations: Nevin Nelson and his sons, Scott and Ryan. The Nelson commitment and
dedication has been handed down through a long line of granite men; starting with Nevin’s great-grandfather, George W.
Nelson; his grandfather, Russell and his father, Carter.
Memorializing families for over 100 years, Nelson Granite has become Canada’s largest producer of quarried dimensional
stone and manufactured memorial products; from 50-ton blocks of granite to beautifully-finished columbariums and
mausoleums.
Our operations are based in Northwestern Ontario, in the heart of the Canadian Shield. Our granites are quarried
exclusively from the area, including some of the most sought-after colours like our Morning Rose and Canadian
Mahogany.
Our products are made of 100% granite and we pride ourselves on being the only columbarium manufacturer in North
America to offer only all-granite units. When looking to buy your next columbarium for your cemetery, don’t compromise
